Data Retention & Destruction Schedule
This schedule describes what data Tuned Voice stores and how it can be deleted. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
What Tuned Voice Stores
Your voice, transcriptions, and vocabulary stay on your Mac. Tuned Voice processes all speech locally. There are no user accounts and no telemetry. A small amount of purchase and license metadata is stored on our server (see Server-Side Data below).

Server-Side Data
The following data is stored on our server (hosted on Supabase, US West) to support licensing, purchases, and refunds:

All deletion requests can be made via privacy@tunedvoice.com and are processed within 30 days.
What Tuned Voice Does Not Store
- No voice data, transcriptions, or vocabulary is uploaded to any server
- No user accounts are created
- No analytics or telemetry is collected
- No voice recordings are stored by default
Destruction Methods
- Secure file deletion: Files are removed from the filesystem. On Apple Silicon Macs, storage is encrypted at the hardware level, so deletion renders data unrecoverable.
- Cryptographic erasure: Destroying the encryption key makes all data encrypted under it permanently unreadable.
- Log rotation: Log files are overwritten on a 7-day cycle. Old entries are not recoverable after rotation.
- Server-side deletion: Purchase metadata and license records deleted from database on verified request. Confirmed via email within 30 days.
User-Initiated Deletion
You control all your data. You can delete it at any time:
- Transcriptions and vocabulary: Delete from Tuned Voice Settings.
- Saved audio (if opted in): Delete from the app’s recordings folder in macOS Finder.
- All local data: Use "Delete All Data" in Settings. This removes transcriptions, vocabulary, preferences, and any saved audio.
- Complete removal: Uninstalling Tuned Voice removes the app. Use "Delete All Data" first to ensure all associated files are cleared.
- Server-side purchase data: Email privacy@tunedvoice.com to request deletion of your email, Stripe identifiers, and purchase metadata. Processed within 30 days. Note: may prevent future refund processing or license verification.
